Drug list on Malononitrile

[edit]

Hi, thanks for adding a drugs list to malononitrile. Could you please add citations for the compounds you listed? To make your life easier, you can plug DOIs or URLs directly into Citer to automatically get named references you can then copy and paste. Thanks! RFZYNSPY talk 21:54, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Chemistry contributions

[edit]

Hi IP editor. Thanks for the contributions you have been making recently to improve our chemistry articles. Please take a look at MOS:CHEM, especially MOS:CHEM#Reactions which describes how we usually do the layout for chemistry reactions, which is rather different from adding standard pictures. Also, It is our tradition to cite the first preparation of a compound. For commercially important compounds, it is often useful to distinguish reactions used in industrial production separately from "laboratory routes". For natural products, the biosynthesis is described. That means that we don't include all possible ways to make something and in particular all the patents that might have been published about synthetic methods. Hence your addition to tizanidine was, arguably, not required. We have a template {{Cite patent}} that works well if you do want to cite a patent source but these are WP:PRIMARY sources, so less preferred to WP:SECONDARY ones.

It would be easier to work collaboratively with you if you created an account, since your IP address may change, but it is certainly not mandatory to do so. Regards. Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:52, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

stop! You are clearly evading your block as User:Nuklear. Your contributions would be very welcome if you were prepared to learn from the feedback you have been given. For example, you could stick to uploading your .svg files and references and allow others to incorporate them into articles according to our manual of style. I have edited tulobuterol today by taking your underlying information and bringing it into line. Compare the version you left with the current version to see what I mean. Similarly for metazocine and bifonazole. Mike Turnbull (talk) 18:50, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
